THE ART OF CHANGING TRAVEL PLANS
Many a person may have been wondering during the last weeks. Neither there were any new blog entries nor there was an idea where in the world we are, Win, Petra and our truck.
The truth is we’re just at home in Nuremberg. Why we come back within that short period I can tell you in two words. It’s the business that called Win back to his company. First it was planned for only two weeks, now it turned out it’ll be for some months. For me it’s the chance to handle my current jobs right at my domestic desk with permanent WLAN access and telephone connection. That sounds to be conveniently, doesn’t it?
Don’t worry, our adventure of a world round trip doesn’t fail therefore. The team of A Dream & A Truck just adapts to new situations. It’s one of the most important qualities you should have when traveling. By the way it applies to everyday life, too:
When you’re flexible you expect change, even embrace it. Sometimes going with the current is the more right thing to do.

It reads well but sometimes it requires a deep breath of us. Mainly of me, actually only of me. Win definitely is the cooler one of us. Anyway in cases of unexpected changes we’ve got to remember that it is for us how we deal with it. Best with a happy mind and in a good temper.
We already had to train our muscle of personal flexibility before we started our journey and again experienced that “Things never turn out the way you expect”.
Although our tour turned out completely different to what we’ve planned (to the South instead of the North), we’ve never had the feeling of a bad deal when traveling through Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. It was wonderful, however. That’s all that really matters.
Therefore the unexpected break of some months is all right for us. We are way beyond of being planless, we’re just amenable for adventures.
Instead of the magic of the unknown we enjoy the amenities of being at home. We moved from our truck into an apartment and are happy to experience christmas time with decoration, family and friends. We’ll keep our truck ready to go for small trips sometimes. And we’ve heard about planes that would fly us to any destination we want just for some days. Isn’t it incredible?
In other words Win and I are grateful for all these wonderful experiences we had, the friendly people we met and all the good, which is around us every day. We’re very much looking forward to what there’ll be.
Thank you very much to all our friends and companions.
Of course we’ll let you know as soon as we are on the road again. We’ll keep you informed. Have a good time and enjoy Christmas, that’s what we’re doing.
Sending love
Win & Petra
